The Memoirs on a rainy day blog is a blog that concentrates on photography, entertainment and some political / social issues. It also features some creative writing in the form of short stories and articles.
On Saturday, the 15th of July 2006, an article was written and posted on the blog. The blog had a total of 14000 visits until then. By midafternoon, the number of hits were at 50000. Towards the end of the day, the topped 180000, over 170000 hits in a single day, most of them concentrated on the article that was posted.
The article itself was saved by over 194 people through del.icio.us, viewed over 170000, made it to the #2 spot on the Reddit.com front page and then was picked up by other memediggers throughout the weekend.
