The Blogosphere, analyzed

Here are some of the important ways to analyze the Blogosphere:

  1. Technorati – It provides both forward reference, that is being able to add meta tags to your post and have Technorati aggregate them, and reserver reference, where we can see who is linking to you and me.
  2. Del.ico.us – One of the more important social bookmarking sites. Users tag and classify links to sites and blog that they want to save. Also, the popular page gives an idea how users are using the site.
  3. ITunes – One of the definite podcast tools available out there. Audio casts are important to reach out to people. Bloggers prefer to listent to podcasts than to commercial radio.
  4. Odeo – Channel casting for podcasting.
  5. Blogpulse – Nielson’s Netmetrics site analyzes blogs, similar to Google Trends but for blogs.
