The blog is quite complete with lectures, works and reading materials. Cognitive Science ties in with modern AI research. It’s a great introduction to one of the main precepts of AI research and expert systems.

Memediggers, a series of examples

In this post, we examine the memediggers that are available. There are always new ones popping up. These sites enable users to submit links and stories, which are then voted upon by the community of users. The more stories and links are liked, the higher they move up to the front page. Getting “dugg” can generate huge amounts of traffic.

News from the Spanish Blogosphere

We have been made aware of a Spanish memedigger called Menéame. It’s currently in beta form and looks quite polished.

A great post on the state of the blogosphere in general and the Spanish blogosphere by Recuerdos del día de mañana, which translates into Memories from the morning of the day. For the Spanish speakers, here is a direct link to the post in question. For the others, a translated version. The article goes back and tackles some of the issues breached by Jason Calacanis and his attempt to hire the best users of digg and other memediggers to work for Netscape.

Bohamled, author of the blog, also makes a parallel to the Spanish memedigger Menéame and how he realizes that there must be a Menéame mafia, similar to the digg mafia and how that must influence the Spanish blogosphere. He mourns the loss of objectivity when these types of moves are made by corporation such as AOL and Netscape.
